Pee-Wee Herman is Back!

First the cast of Saved By The Bell reunites (for a magazine) and now Pee-Wee is back (on the stage). This is very exciting for me. It’s like I’m reliving my childhood.

Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure was my favourite movie. My younger brother was deadly afraid of that part at the end of the movie where he’s being attacked by the giant dinosaur. Shoot, I love that movie. And his red bike. I wanted one. I used to watch that movie like 5 days a week. His second movie Big Top Pee-Wee which was also amazing but it just didn’t create the magic that was unleashed on me from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure

Apparently there have been talks about new Pee-Wee movie’s being made but I haven’t heard much about them lately and I’m not sure if that’s just a rumour.

Paul Reubens will reprise his role as Pee-Wee for a limited engagement live in Hollywood beginning on November 8th 2009. If you’re able to make it, and I hope you are. Take some pics for me.

P.S. Hollywood, please fund another Pee-Wee movie. Stop making shitty movies from good books and get Tim Burton on new Pee-Wee flick. ASAP you bastards.

Finally! A chick flick I can get into. I’m looking forward to this. It’s set in NY one of my favourite cities, it has tons of great actors, lots of directors and because it’s comprised of 12 different segments it doesn’t have time to be overly mushy.

More Minka Please!

So, After my Camilla belle post, I starting thinking that there are a LOT of under appreciated women. One of those is Minka Kelly. Like Camilla, Minka has a beautiful face but she hasn’t really been in many movies. Minka’s claim to fame is a TV show called Friday Night Lights. I don’t think it airs in Toronto, if it does I don’t know when but I did watch the first season from DVD. It was a good show and she was a good actress. Hopefully we’ll see more of Minka. Until then you can catch her in 500 Days of Summer with the ever lovely Zooey Deschanel.
